The Boys & Girls Club of Jacksonville provides a safe place for our city’s youth after school and during the summer. While at the Club, youth have access to programs focusing on healthy mental, physical, emotional, and civic development.
Character & Leadership
Through programs like Youth of the Year, we are helping Jacksonville’s youth become caring, responsible citizens.
Health & Nourishment
Through partnerships with local churches, we provide daily meals for all of our members.
Summer Reading
Through our partnerships with Crain Ford of Jacksonville and AR Kids Read, we are providing books and reading resources for the summer months.
Health & Life Skills
We help our members engage in positive behaviors, set positive goals, and live successfully throughout their lives.
Education & Career
We encourage our youth to create healthy aspirations for their future and we provide opportunities for them to explore career paths and educational opportunities.
Sports & Fitness
Through our sports programs, we teach teamwork, collaboration, and encourage our youth to live active and healthy lifestyles.
Homework Help
We provide after school homework help and have a volunteer tutor to help make sure that our youth are succeeding in school. We have seen a dramatic improvement in our members grades and study habits.
After School & Summer Care
We provide inexpensive after-school and summer care so that our city’s parents can rest assured that their children are in a safe, positive environment with staff who care immensely about the well-being of their kids.
Field Trips
We place a priority on exposing our youth to experiences that they might not otherwise be exposed to. It’s a big world out there and we want for our youth to be prepared to meet it.
Youth of the Year
Every year, we choose one youth who has exemplified all of the characteristics that the Boys & Girls Club stands for – good grades, community service, ambition, and work ethic – and we reward them with our Youth of the Year Scholarship Program.
